Algorithimic feeds
There's been one persistent request by power users of twitter:

While this sounds like a good idea for some, it's absolutely not for a large social media platform.
Platforms like twitter have semi-active users (lurkers) who:
- might engage with the platform via low effort options - liking, bookmarking, or simply spending time reading tweets.
- may not be willing to search and find interesting accounts and then engage with them.
Lurkers rely on the platform to give them options. It could be relevant posts delivered via the feed or accounts that consistently post around a theme.
They also make up the largest % of users in social media. If you do not give keep them happy, they will leave quietly. A network that losers its lurkers will reach a local maxima of opinionated users. This makes the platform niche or makes it implode.
Twitter's core value is in its brevity and speed of information. It has no other option except to fix its algorithm.
